Missouri Author Richard O. Snelson utilized his deep seated roots in the Crawford county region of the Ozark Mountains to write 'THE HAWKSBILL CRAG.' Part adventure novel, part love story, the book was inspired by the 1983 hanging of a fourteen year old slave girl, who used to live in the still standing Snelson-Brinker cabin that was built near Meramec Springs.

Richard has written for several magazines and published an aviation newsletter, writing many of the featured articles, and short stories. His first novel 'LUNKER' (A BRANSON TALE) captured the warmth and flavor of Branson, Missouri. An engineer in his former life, Richard's career included the McDonnell Gemini program in St. Louis, and continued through the early development of computers for businesses and engineering applications. He and his wife, RoxAnne, live on a ranch with their horses, while he continues to pen stories of the Ozark area he loves.

Richard is a member of Ozarks Writers League, Ozark Creative writers, and Missouri Writers Guild.

I am so excited about having been given the opportunity of authoring my Memoirs, 'The Most Intelligent Of Idiots.' It is appropriately titled. I thank God for giving me the skill and the passion to author the five dramatic thriller novels titled: The Second Republic; Patriot Acts; Nimrod Rising; Probable Cause; and Stillborn. My life has seen the opened doors that God has given me. I was able to learn both French, and Turkish. In my past, I was an assistant to a prosecutor, a University instructor, and a freelance journalist.

I grew up in Knox, Indiana, and attended and graduated from Knox High School in 1977. In that same year, I began college studies in Theology at Emmaus Bible College, which is now located in Dubuque, Iowa. I completed my degree at Bethel College, and earned my B.A. in Organizational Management of Human Resources. In 1985, while in France, I was able to earn a Certificate of Fluency in the French Language at Cavilam Institute of the French Language in Vichy, France. I was also able to obtain a Master's Degree in Liberal Studies at Indiana University in 2001.

I worked a number of years in various countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa. God granted me the privilege of visiting or living in thirty-four countries, where I worked extensively with Kurdish refugees from Turkey, Iraq, and Syria. I established a school by correspondence for African students in the African countries of the Gambia and Senegal West Africa, and founded a Cultural Center for refugees in France, where I lived for six years. Because of my experience, today I can speak French and Turkish.

Before returning to the United States in 1995, I worked as an instructor of English and Business skills four years at Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey. I was responsible for the supervision of ten tourism instructors, and supervised the development of syllabi, course outlines, and the development of pertinent materials for Tourism and Business courses. I was given the opportunity of assisting in the development of a Masters of Business Administration and Public Presentation skills courses. Developing specialized Writing course to deepen students abilities in communication for business and writing purposes. I was involved in several World Bank courses, which were offered at the University as well.

In 1999, I took up the challenge of becoming the Republican Party's nominee for Mayor of South Bend, Indiana, where I presented the strongest Republican Candidacy in the democratically controlled city in decades. Today, I reside in the Los Angelas area, where I am a full-time novelist, and language instructor.

Joe loved to draw from an early age. He would write down descriptions and ideas for future projects that accompanied his pictures. His handwriting was terrible, so his parents had him writing his alphabet and numbers in a writing tablet every Sunday afternoon. Joe quickly grew bored, writing pages of the same thing. He knew stories that his paternal grandfather told him, about his life growing up in the Choctaw Nation of Indian Territory, before Oklahoma became a state in 1907. Joe also learned from stories of his other family coming to Texas as Peters' Colonists, before it was a state in 1845. This was much more interesting to write about than any old alphabets, or numbers! Joe's handwriting improved, and so did his interest in writing, and drawing. In time, this became many folders and boxes of information that Joe learned about from close family and friends, who had similar family stories. There was a common thread that these stories shared, showed the determination of the early pioneer people to survive and tolerate hardships, to build up something worthwhile, where there was nothing before. These were the seeds for Joe's first books about the early history of Texas. Joe has many facets, so these interests inspire new and different books to draw the attention of the public. Joe's interests are varied from art; history;scriptwriting;photography; music; and acting. His books reflect these varied interests. Seven books later, Joe has made each one unique to tell a story the way it has never been told before. Joe has four books on history, two children's books, and a new Gothic tale of terror.

Jeff Gonsalves was born in Dublin, California, under the watchful eyes of his parents. Strange premonitions, such as ultrasound image of the umbilical chord snaking up his left nostril, foretold that he might be born with warped DNA or at the very least, a whacked-out brain. They expected a third eyeball, or a second gibbering mouth, but were relieved when he was born semi-normal. Now, no one would question the family pool!

Over the past twenty years, Jeff has lived in California, Colorado and the eerie caverns of his own imagination, but he would be content pitching a tent and residing permanently on a basketball court. His hobbies include weight-lifting,volunteering in the Big Brothers program,mangling electric guitars,and writing. 'Fork In The Road To Apocalypse' is the second novel in a science fiction series that currently includes five additional books. His first novel, The Subnorms, was published in 2001 and earned a favorable review from Kirkus, who called it, 'graphic, energetic and packing a dizzying emotional wallop.'

When he isn't writing, Jeff works on a pediatric floor at a large metropolitan hospital. He also enjoys progressive metal music and blames his irreparable brain damage on the soft rock his parents crammed into his ears when he was younger. When I meet people, one of the first things they ask is, where are you from? Or, did you grow up in Harrisburg, which is where I currently live. I have a very hard time answering the first question. I was born in Detroit, Michigan, but don't remember it, since I literally only stayed there about a week or so after I was born. I spent most of my life in Washington D.C., Suburban Maryland area until the age of twelve, when I left home and went to Virginia to attend a boarding school from grade nine to twelve. Every year that I was in boarding school, I came home in the summer to a different city, Washington D.C;Charlotte;North Carolina, and finally Harrisburg, PA. When I tell people that, they often ask if my parents were in the military. I laugh, and say no! My mother was just finding herself. So, where am I from? I have now officially lived in Harrisburg PA longer than anywhere else, so this is home.

I am a single mother of three. I once read that children bring our subconscious issues into life. They show us the parts of us that we need to heal. My children have always been my inspiration to push myself to get to the next level. I see little pieces of me in each of them, but they have all grown up to have their own distinct personalities. I have worked in the Healthcare industry for over twenty years. I am presently employed for a local Healthcare company, and work in the Information Systems Department. Although I work in it, I am not a 'techie' as most people consider anyone who works in this field. I consider myself to be very analytical, which makes people that I've known for a long time, wonder where all of this creativeness came from all of a sudden. To this, I say it has always been there, just hidden beneath the surface.

I have kept journals as far back as I can remember. I always liked to write, and express myself in writing. I have often been told that I express myself in writing, better than I do verbally. I dabbed in poetry from time-to-time, but have always gravitated more towards music. I am a singer, and have also used that as an outlet for my creative energy. I come from a very musical family. All of our activities usually involve music in some form, or fashion. I still sing in church, as often as possible. However, my writing intensified ten years ago, while going through my divorce. It was a way for me to express myself, without exposing what was really going on inside of me. At one point, I allowed a close friend to read some of what I wrote and they commented that I had a very unique way of writing and expressing myself, they encouraged me to continue to write.

I grew up in Southeast England, in a coal mining village my husband calls, 'The place that time forgot!' It is nested between the notorious city of Canterbury and the medieval town of Dover. I came to Canada as a nanny when I was twenty-one in search of adventure, and a new life. I live in Spruce, Alberta with my sports crazy husband, adorable dog, and cantankerous ginger cat.

As far back as I can remember, the pen and paper have been my faithful companions, and story telling my forte. As a child I would sneak away from a mundane adult world, find a private retreat, usually behind the garden shed, and imagine. There in my own little sanctuary, I'd conjure up all kinds of intriguing tales, and colorful characters. In my teen years, my journal became my confidence, revealing all my hidden secrets, private fantasies and wild notions within its pages. Later I started to write poems, articles and short stories, and pondered the thought of becoming a writer.

When I immigrated to Canada, I buried my dreams under layers of real life clutter. I chose a safe and practical career in child care, married, and raised a family. But my creative spirit kept trying to dig its way out. I was asked to write articles and editorials for our local church. I taught a story time class at the school, which lead me to writing a children's book. I wrote an article about my husband's prestigious grandfather, and sent it to our local newspaper. They printed it. I kept sending them articles, they kept printing them. I was surprised at the compliments I received from the editor, and readers. It was evident to me then, that I had excavated my creative spirit.

I decided to take a comprehensive writing course to improve my technique. With help from a proficient and supportive tutor, who told me I had a gift, I began to cultivate my skill. My articles started to sell, and I received an assignment from a major Canadian magazine. I have spent the past few years working on my novel MERRYWEATHER LODGE-Ancient Revenge, a trilogy, and two children's books.
