*****REVIEW ~~HONOR DEFENDED~~

By Author D.H. Brown Genre: Action/Mystery/Thriller http://www.dhbrownbooks.com http://www.myspace.com/dhbrownbooks http://www.bigriverpress.com/ REVIEW The Major is back in book two of the Citizen Warrior Series, "HONOR DEFENDED." As we learned from HONOR DUE, the Major is a kindhearted, caring, family man. He is also the Vietnam vet who will not allow anything to cross his path when it comes to hurting innocent citizens, especially his friends, and family. While still mourning the death of one of his War Brothers, he receives notification of a horrifying murder and kidnapping involving a friend. Carmen was kidnapped, and her husband who was an American soldier and home from Iraq was beheaded, then their home was set on fire. The Major calls in his troops, and begins the investigation. Does Carmen return to safety, and where is her vehicle? How is it possible that twelve terrorists wind up in someone's backyard, why was it that easy? How many battles and interrogations will the Major face? Do the Major's Warriors seek revenge, and is justice served? Embrace yourself, put on your seatbelt, and enjoy the greatest thrill ride you've ever endured! The setting in the great NorthWest is perfect for the action-packed adventure to take place, the story is engrossing, and the characters come to life once again. I recommend this novel to all mystery lovers who enjoy thrillers, with humor, and compassion. The plot consists of hard-hitting action, and is emotional, and heartwarming. When the Major realizes that the crime committed was no random act of violence, the fireworks begin, tension is at its highest peak, and the adrenaline is flowing. The bond between the Warriors is stronger than ever as excitement explodes, while the hunt begins. D.H. Brown penned an incredible breathtaking adventure as his Masterpiece becomes a tribute to Vietnam vets. "HONOR DEFENDED" is as compelling as Steven Spielberg's "SAVING PRIVATE RYAN" with Tom Hanks! 6. My wife Jeri has been raving about this author for months so I decided to sit down and read his books. Both of them. Needless to say once I started the first, Honor Due, I couldn't put them down until I finished Honor Defended. Right on Geri. You hit the nail right on the head. Great author. Hope he soon finds that wider audience. D H Brown sure deserves it.

  10. Great writers come along only rarely. D H Brown is one. He makes the characters come alive. You know sometimes a writer can't compete with the first book? Well he didn't even try. Honor Defended is a whirlwind 24 hour race against time. You so got that Geri with your review. Love your work.

  12. Love your review of D. H. Brown's Honor Defended. Couldn't have said it better myself. This author sure knows how to get a protagonist into your mind so you don't forget them. I've read both of his books and can't wait for the third, Honor Defended.
