*****REVIEW ~~PUSH~~
BY: Christopher Byron
Contemporary Fantasy/Science Fiction
ADRENALINE-PUMPING!
"Push" recounts a chain of events that pitted an ordinary man against a
government facility who tormented him in a world he wakes up to, after
surviving a car crash. The main character in this cleverly entertaining story
is Ryan Parker, who desperately fights in a battle for survival of his life,
and those he loves. Ryan struggles to close the door of imprisonment
permanently, and open a new door to a life he'd rather have at what-ever
risks he may have to take. After so many times of being knocked against the
wall, he decides to regain his strength, and push back! Does he save his own
life, and those he loves? Does he get up, after he falls off his feet? Christopher
Byron wrote a story that is consistently gripping that will thrill the reader
with its unbelievable twists and turns. The story within the pages of "Push"
is as dynamic as "The Insider" with Al Pacino. The story of Ryan Parker's
heroic acts and triumph is presented by the author to have your adrenaline
pumping, while craving for a sequel. With each twist in this novel, the mystery
deepens and the question looms, will Ryan Parker win the battle for freedom?
I recommend this book to all readers who enjoy thrillers, with a blend of
drama, and fantasy. "Push" is as entertaining as "Devil's Advocate." Ryan
Parker comes to life in Christopher Byron's outstanding plot, and is as
incredible as Jeff Bridges is in "Arlington Road."

****REVIEW ~MORE THAN DUST IN THE WIND~
BY: Donald James Parker
Christian Fiction
A Rousing Celebration Of Life!
The main character in Donald James Parker's second book from a five book
series about the Masterson family is a young man by the name of Bambi.
He is a basketball player who steps up to college level, realizing as he grew
older that energy, and talent was not enough to win the game. Bambi makes it
to the National Tournament with support from Lisa, but then his life makes a
complete turn, and he's forced to set priorities. He begins to realize with age
that we make choices and decisions, and regardless of whether those choices
were the right moves to make, we must live with them. I recommend this novel
to teens, and adults who enjoy a fascinating story of life, with a blend of
spiritual guidance. For many years, Bambi was on his own mission trying to
learn how to make good decisions, realizing that we must have an open mind
while searching for answers. While on his mission, he leads his family to
walk on a different road, and their lives change forever. The author created
an uplifting story that fills the pages with inspiration. "More Than Dust In
The Wind" is as heartwarming as "For Love Of The Game" with Kevin Costner.
This novel is full of soul and spirit with a remarkable story that the reader
will never forget!

*****REVIEW ~~SAVAGE~~
BY: Katherine Warwick
Dance/Romance
Entertaining & Delightful!
The main character in "Savage" is Chance. His life is about to change after he
enrolls in a ballroom dance class. His eyes are set on Avery, and begins to like
everything about her, including her dancing. He falls in love with her, and the
idea that a life together would be the right choice, for one exception. His life
becomes threatened by an old secret, and a woman from his past walks back
into his life. His life is about to change, but not exactly what he had in mind.
His lifestyle becomes complicated, and he must make choices. Will his dream
become a nightmare? Does he ever find a life with the woman he loves?
Does his priorities, and his lifestyle change for the better, or for worse?
The love story between Chance and Avery is exhilarating. "Savage" is set to
vibrant dance, and pounding rhythms on the dance floor. I recommend this
novel of dancing sensation, with a vivid love story guaranteed to satisfy all
readers who enjoy a blend of dance, with sizzling romance. This book is an
entertaining and delightful love story that makes ballroom dancing cover the
pages in electrifying passion step-by-step! "Savage" is filled with genuine
delights, as if viewing the dance scene with Jenifer Lopez, and Ralph Fiennes in
"Maid In Manhattan."

*****REVIEW ~~DRAGON'S TEAR~~
By: MJ Allaire
Fictional Fantasy Series Book 3
A Delightful, and most extraordinary adventure!
In the sequel to The Prisoner, MJ Allaire takes the reader on another
spectacular adventure, after the boys reunite in the Yarnie village.
As the boys continue their search for the long-lost girls, they get ready
for another mission to be guided home safely to the Castle Of Tears,
but are totally unaware of the dangers they must confront. Will
creatures lurk in the shadows of the lake? Will they ever find the
girls? Will they be brave enough to cross the body of water, while
searching for Dragon's Tear? If the boys find the amulet, and return
it safely to the dragons, will they become victims of bumbling bad
guys? I recommend "Dragon's Tear" to all fantasy lovers. This book
is an adventure classic from start to finish. It's packed with
breathtaking black magic, and a thrilling whirlpool of trials and
tribulations the children must endure to survive their mysterious
mission. "Dragon's Tear" is as enchanting as "Harry Potter And The
Sorcerer's Stone." The author presents a triumph of imagination
that lights up the pages through this magical adventure. For finishing
touches, excitment builds to surprising results as bad-mannered
creatures invite their way into the children's desperate journey to
safety. "Dragon's Tear" has dazzling effects and shiver-yer-timbers
thrills! A delightful, extraordinary adventure!

*****REVIEW ~~THE SUN SINGER~~
BY Malcolm R. Campbell
The main character in "THE SUN SINGER" is Robert Adams, a teenager who
has been tormented with his psychic dreams, especially after the death of
his grandfather, and Julianne. Robert was against the idea of battling with
his dreams. It was easier to ignore them, but his agony, and torment lead to
a major decision. He had the dying need to meet the people who knew his
grandfather, and he had to find out the truth about his close friend's death,
Julianne. The choice he had to make in order to move on in life was a once
in a lifetime opportunity, which happened while on a family vacation in the
mountains, after the passing of his grandfather. The door of Pyrrha opens,
inviting Robert to enter a village ruled by evil, mystical magic, and a journey
of ultimate reality into the future. As Robert enters this mythical kingdom,
does he grow up overnight? Is he prepared to battle with evil, and step into
war as he confronts his grandfather's betrayer? Does he stop blaming himself
for a tragedy he could not prevent? Will he survive Pyrrha's evil as he unlocks
the mystery of Julianne's death? As Robert set out on his quest to complete
a journey that his grandfather began, the pages to "The SUN SINGER" become
an unforgettable magical adventure. I recommend this novel to teens, adults,
and all fantasy lovers. Malcolm R. Campbell takes the reader on a
magnificent, magic carpet ride to the past, the present, and the future.
The story is enlightening, and tug's at the reader's heart as the adventure
becomes a journey that strikes a chord in every reader, while looking back
into the years of growing up. This novel is packed with riveting intensity,
and is hauntingly powerful. As each page in "The Sun Singer" fits another
piece to the mysterious puzzle that Robert is determined to put together,
the story becomes more entertaining, and touching. The author created a
brilliant, must-read fantasy that makes you crave for a sequel. "The Sun Singer"
takes the reader into an enchanting adventure, with magical power, and
healing tonic. After Robert enters a time-zone of another world, the mystery
he unravels leaves unforgettable consequences as if viewing "The Sixth Sense"
with Bruce Willis!

*****REVIEW ~THREADS OF DECEPTION~~
By Author James Fletcher
More than one murder has been committed, all with the same
underlying clues, and dead bodies leave a trail for investigation.
A contract is out to kill a man, but the wrong man is murdered,
leaving former Austin police sergeant Chase Alexander as the
primary target. While desperately attempting to save his own life,
Chase takes matters into his own hands. He begins his mission
by searching for his missing father, then goes back into the past, and
digs up years of family secrets. Throughout his journey into the unknown to answer the mysterious questions leading to the murders,
Chase finds more-and-more lies. Time was running out, and answers
needed to be found to crucial questions in order to solve the case.
Why did the criminals want to kill Chase? Who was the contract
really for? Where was Chase's father? What lies, and secrets did
Chase find? Who were the two hitmen, and who hired them? Why
were other people murdered, and where did the names of the
deceased lead to? I recommend "Threads Of Deception" to all
mystery lovers. The characters in this riveting thriller electrify the
pages that are covered in conspiracy, and betrayal. James Fletcher
chose a title that fits this head-snapping novel like the perfect glove
to fit his hand. This book is filled with nonstop twists as good as
a reader would find in the series "Murder She Wrote." The clever
author introduces nail-biting suspense page-after-page, then leaves
the ending with a great surprise. "Threads Of Deception" is clearly
a steady engrossing thriller that leaves you on the edge of your seat.
The reader could feel the same escalating tension as if viewing one
of Alfred Hitchcock's finest. Before the final closing of the curtains,
drama soaks the pages in this gripping thriller that gives the reader
the same creepy chills as if viewing "Death Wish."

****REVIEW ~How To Keep God In Your Life~
By Dominique L. Watson
"How To Keep God In Your Life" is written with enthusiasm, and
creativity by Dominique L. Watson. The author clearly steps out
from "Inspire Me Young" into "How To Keep God In Your Life"
as an additional contribution to society, offering peaceful and
healing solutions through religious, and spiritual direction to
God's Kingdom. I recommend this book to teens and adults who
wish to seek guidance and comfort in the spiritual sense, and as a
motivational, healthy benefit to our psychological well-being.
"How To Keep God In Your Life" is as refreshing as "Acts Of Kindness."
Inspiration and compassion flow from the pages, and the reader is
left with comfort, and peace from within!

*****REVIEW ~~A CRYING ROSE~~
By Sarah Abdulaziz
Sarah Abdulaziz pens a unique, inspirational, and thought-provoking
collection of poetry titled "Crying Rose." The young author created a
Masterpiece from life's experiences, and voices her opinion of pity
and sadness that covers the world we live in, like a blanket, visualized
through poetic eyes. What better place to begin taking notes, and jot
observation is there, other than the Big Apple, better known as the
greatest city in the world? Born in Brooklyn and residing in New York
for forty-five years, I can witness the reality and truth in Sarah's
life painting which is based on current events, politics, and humanity.
From the poem "The Night I Got Up To Pray" tugs at the reader's heart,
and sorrow covers the page. "When a poor, innocent child runs to
hide, the child ends up dying, taken from the poem "Unfaithful."
The author clearly speaks of war, and it's tragic effects on the
innocent, and how much suffering exists in the world. From the
passage "lost Her True Love" defines loss of a loved one, and the
pain left behind. "Hold your head up high" from the poem
"Be Strong" fills the page with inspiration, pride, and a new
found hope. I recommend "Crying Rose" to teens, adults, and all
poetry lovers. The work of Sarah Abdulaziz is as heartfelt, and as
compassionate as that of Susan Polis Schutz.

*****REVIEW ~~~AN OPEN VEIN~~~
By Katherine Warwick
Katherine Warwick is an author who certainly has had expertise in
dance-romance novels, now surprises the reading audience with
her psychological, spine-tingling thriller, "An Open Vein." As a
health professional for thirty years, a graduate from a psychiatric
school of Nursing, and a born-and-bred New Yorker were the reasons
that drew me into Warwick's cleverly written plot, immediately with
overwhelming interest. The main character, John Banks is a high
school graduate at age sixteen, and is accepted into pre-med. Everyone
knows that John is a genius, but they don't know that he lives in a
strange, confusing world. Although his IQ may be high, he lacks
common sense, not to mention self-esteem. He decides to spend time
in New York with Kane, a life-long friend. Kane taught John how to
read people, and get into their heads, but the ultimate question that
prevails is one which makes this novel a page turner. Can John read
Kane? John's life becomes threatened, according to Kane, but how
can we believe in Kane? The more you read about Kane, the more
psychotic he becomes, and John becomes a prisoner of abuse. The
reader is forced to ponder on two essential questions. Why did John
allow Kane to hold him hostage, like an animal in a cage? How is it
possible that someone who suffers from a mental illness is usually
not investigated until after damage has been done to himself, and
society? The author paints a realistic New York setting, the plot is
as superb as the psychological thriller, "Psycho." I recommend this
novel to teens, adults, and all mystery lovers. "An Open Vein" is as
chilling as "WHAT LIES BENEATH" with Harrison Ford, and Michelle
Pfeiffer!

*****REVIEW ~Visionary From The Stars~
BY Virginia Lori Jennings
In her second science fiction novel, Virginia Lori Jennings takes the reader
through another incredible galactic journey as the Platonians plan to
sabotage the Star Traveler's crew, and a lone scientist is faced with
intergalactic controversy. Can Jean McClain save humanity? Is the
Galactic Bible ever found? Will the ancient quest continue its saga into the
land of the unknown? What happens in the mission from Ganymede to
Exandra? I recommend this book to teens, young adults, and all science
fiction lovers. "Missionary From The Stars" is action-packed, and is as
mysterious as "The Alien Mind." The clever author manages to fill the pages
with breathtaking black magic, while entertaining the reader with the
ultimate alien encounter as good as Steven Spielberg's Masterpiece, "E.T."

*****REVIEW ~THE PRISONER~ MJ ALLAIRE
"The Prisoner" is the second book in MJ Allaire's fictional, fantasy series
that is indeed another Great Adventure! The reader is taken once again
through another fascinating journey as the lost children desperately
search for each other through the dark, land of the unknown. The
girls can't find the boys, new creatures blossom like flowers, and the
children are challenged to dip into their past as they confront an
unexplained mystery. Will all the children reunite again? What do they
find in the castle? Can the new world be changed? I recommend
"The Prisoner" to teens, adults, and all fantasy lovers. The author adds
sparks to this novel, like the Fourth-Of-July, fulfilling the reader's
curiosity, after diving into the exquisite "Dragon's Blood." The ending
of "The Prisoner" makes the reader crave for "Dragon's Tear."
"The Prisoner" is cleverly written, captures the world's imagination,
and the whirlwind adventure continues as the creatures come to
life! This novel is as action-packed as "Men In Black." "The Prisoner"
fills the reader's heart with memorable moments that strikes a chord
in everyone, and is as breathtaking as Walt Disney's "Swiss Family
Robinson."

*****REVIEW ~~FALSE JUSTICE~~
BY AUTHOR MACK BEASLEY
The main character in "False Justice" is Mike Blackman, a sixty-four-year-old
man serving a sentence of ten years in a state prison for a felony DUI case.
Mike met an inmate in prison who was convicted of murder. An inmate who
convinced Mike that he was innocent of the pending charges against him,
that the verdict was false, and justice was not served. Before Mike was released
from prison, he promised the inmate charged of murder that he will follow-up
on the case, and come up with answers. Immediately upon his release, Mike
lived with his daughter, then met a soul-mate his own age who he began a
close relationship with. He was determined to search for the truth, while
organizing his own team of investigators as his mission began. Most inmates
that leave prison begin a new life once again in the real world, but not for Mike.
The minute he walked out of those prison doors to freedom, his life becomes
as complicated as it was the day he walked in, where the doors slammed-shut,
and locked for ten years. The curtains open, and the story begins as Mike
realizes that he may be involved in a no-win situation. He is tormented with
a vow he made to an inmate to set him free, and must stay sober while solving
the case. The consequences of his mission to seek truth and let justice be
served may send him right back to prison, or may cost him his own life.
The unique characters in this hypnotizing thriller come to life as the story
unfolds. The setting is as picture-perfect as "THE GREEN MILE" with Tom
Hanks, drawing the reader in, while describing what goes on behind prison
doors. The plot in this Masterpiece, created by Mack Beasley fills the pages
with suspense, and drama. I would recommend this novel to all mystery
lovers who crave a chilling story, with a blend of excitement. "False Justice"
is cleverly entertaining, and is as Mesmerizing as "THE JUROR" with Demi
Moore, and Alec Baldwin.

*****REVIEW ~~RAINDROPS~~
BY Besa Kosova
Besa Kosova paints a poetic portrait of life's journey through the
unexpected storms, and the calming of a sunrise. "Raindrops" is the
Masterpiece of that portrait defining the trials, and tribulations
we endure in this lifetime, and how we regain strength to move on.
The passages within the pages of "Raindrops" are chilling, emotional,
and thought-provoking. The author conveys courage and wisdom,
after the storm is over, and portrays inspiration and hope as we begin
a rebirth of a new life. "I am stone, nothing makes me cry, I stand
strong, tears have run dry." "Raindrops" tells the story of how life
was once lived through the eyes of a frightened woman on the dark,
horrifying road of lost hope. But, also points out that there is light
at the end of the tunnel as long as we believe in ourselves. "After the
rain comes the sun. In my new world, the rain has stopped...And the
sun has come. The sun has shone." Within this collection of poems,
Besa Kosova becomes a master of personalized poetic message.
Her poetry is evocative, and compelling. The portrait defines a new
inspiration in a memorable form of art comparable to the work of
H. W. Longfellow.

*****REVIEW ~~THE ALIEN MIND~~
BY VIRGINIA LORI JENNINGS
A group of children are abducted in the adventures of "The Alien Mind." Each
child becomes a hostage to the Aruk, a group of aliens. While held hostage
to the Aruk, the children are rescued from captivity by another group of aliens
who adopt them, and become their alien family. The children become gifted
in the course of their learning developmental ability, and begin to defy the
laws of physics. The trials, and tribulations begin as the Aruk seek revenge,
and the children must once again fight for freedom. Virginia Lori Jennings
brings her characters to life as young Rivinaig details a description of a
hostage situation from the unknown, somewhere in the galaxy, far beyond
the imagination. The author draws the reader immediately into this mysterious
adventure as we fill our minds with curiosity about the supernatural. I recommend "The Alien Mind" to teens, adults, and sciencefiction lovers.
The story is interesting from beginning to end, the plot is superb, and the
characters come to life within the first few chapters. "The Alien Mind" is a
science fiction thriller that reveals the extraordinary battle for freedom as
the children become determined to fight for their rights with an
extraterrestrial army. The story is as entertaining as "Independence Day"
as it fills the pages with unparalleled magic, and imagination.

moves, and Anna craves for much more than dancing. She found her
perfect man, and does everything in her power to crown him king of
dance, while she places a royal leash around his neck. Jamie signs a
contract, under the influence of the exotic Anna in her graceful charm,
but never read the fine print. Romance begins on the dance floor as
Jamie, and Anna cover the room with hot, sparking fire. Katherine
Warwick takes the reader on an entertaining adventure, filled with
love in the air, while romance blossoms as sweet as a rose bud. Jamie
learns about Anna's culture, and Anna must learn about his, while
their dancing is set to pounding rhythms. As the author describes the
characters in this vivid love story, they come to life. Vibrant dancing
lights up the room in this electrifying, sensual story. I would recommend
this novel to teens, and adults who love dancing and music, with a
blend of romance. Heartthrob Jamie shows off all his moves as Anna
becomes his dancing sensation. "Wilde" is as delightful as "Shall We
Dance" with Richard Gere, and Jennifer Lopez. The story sparkles
with the music as entertaining as "Flashdance." Jamie, and Anna
create a sizzling romance on the dance floor, guaranteed to grab the
reader's attention as if we were viewing "Dirty Dancing" with Patrick
Swayze.

*****REVIEW "When The Leaves Stop Falling"
By Author Kelly Moran
The main character in "When The Leaves Stop Falling" is Edith Meyers, a widow who fulfills
her dream of owning her own diner. A woman who reached for the stars, and became
successful, but was emotionally distraught from the loss of her husband as she realized
something in her dream was missing. Her mission was to share her dream with her husband,
but after his passing, her love for him tormented her day-after-day. She became bitter, while
living a sad, lonely life after his funeral. Edith no longer cared much about anything, and basically survival was the name of the game as she battled with her own strength to live
without him. Her sweet memories of him filled her mind as she set out one gloomy, evening
in a rain storm, while driving her old truck to pick up a juke box for the diner. She pulled off
to the side of the road, waiting for the pounding rain to subside, where she suddenly finds
Courtney Morgan lying in the street. A helpless young woman covered in bruises, and
blood. Courtney is a sixteen year old runaway, beaten, and abused for years by her father.
As Edith saves Courtney's life, her own life is about to change at that very traumatic moment.
The story begins as Edith, and Courtney bond, while drama adds to their lives in the years
to come. Within the first two chapters of this heart-wrenching story, Kelly Moran fills the
pages with emotion, and sorrow. The setting is realistic, and the plot is a thought-provoking
masterpiece as the characters come to life. The author created a poignant, bittersweet
soap opera, with a blend of romance. "When The Leaves Stop falling" is a page turner
from beginning to end as Kelly Moran draws the reader in immediately, filling the pages
with curiosity, while daring the reader to find out what happens next. "When The Leaves
Stop Falling" is entertaining, and hauntingly powerful. The story is as emotional as
"STEPMOM" with Julia Roberts, and Susan Sarandon.

*****REVIEW ~DRAGON'S BLOOD~
DRAGON'S BLOOD
BY: MJ Allaire
Many of us have had exotic dreams during childhood where we were taken to,
or discovered another world far away from the one in which we live. Those
fantasies from the imagination can include dragons, aliens, or whatever we wish
to create in the world of make-believe. Imagine your exotic dream one day becomes
reality? Tonia, and Diam venture out into the forrest to gather chickleberries for
their Mom, and suddenly they enter that exotic dream stored in the imagination
as they get lost, and discover a hidden cave in their village. The girls tell their secret
only to Micah, and Nicho, but not to their Mom. Then, the wild adventure begins
as MJ Allaire takes the reader through the most fascinating, magical dream beyond
any child's imagination. As four children venture out into the world of the unknown,
while exploring the mysterious cave, they are determined to follow that dream.
They are forced to make difficult decisions as they roam through the land of
unexplained magic. Suddenly, they realize there are needs to be met as they become
stronger, while facing their own fear through a dark, incredible journey. As the
adventure continues, drama reaches its peak, while intelligent, cunning creatures
challenge the children. Unique powers of creatures blossom, fantasy explodes
like fireworks on the Fourth-Of-July, and the children learn what the word trust
means as they complete their courageous mission through a surprise quest, beyond
their wildest dreams. I would recommend "DRAGON'S BLOOD" as an excellent
read for the entire family. This novel is as mysterious as Steven Spielberg's
dazzling adventure of "the Goonies." MJ Allaire entertains the reader on the same
thrilling scale as viewing the Masterpiece "E.T." The reader becomes inspired
while following the children through the "Circle Of Life" as if we were viewing
Walt Disney's creation of "The Lion King." The clever author leaves the reader
with a question at the end, how far will you go for an adventure? "DRAGON'S
BLOOD" is left open for a sequel as curiosity becomes a main target of focus.
In this delightful tale, there is never a dull moment, and magical powers light-up
the story as if viewing one of J.K. Rowling's finest in the adventures of
"Harry Potter."

*****REVIEW HONOR DUE BY D.H. Brown
A Pulse-Pounding Thriller!
"Honor Due" is a suspenseful, action-packed, entertaining thriller.
A novel that draws the reader into the Vietnam War, describing what
D.H. Brown had to face, and how he survived the horror. The author
penned a compelling story through the main character as Major,
defining his haunting past, history during the Vietnam Era, and the
bravery of one hero who was determined to prove that life was still
worth living. The Major's mission was to find answers, and seek truth
as to what happened when South Vietnam was falling. Through his
terrifying journey, he was deternined to seek vengeance for his fallen
brother, and family. With courage, one warrior manages to find healing
as romance blooms, and he is able once again to see light at the end of
the tunnel. In comparison to reading novels about the military, "Honor
Due" stands out with pride in an excellent performance that was written
from the heart of a true warrior. In many war stories, we only see the
cold, bloody, and the angry perspective of war. In this novel, through
the fascinating character of Major, we don't just see the ugly. The journey through "Honor Due" takes the reader to the battlefield, then
to the sunset where peace, and love bloom like flowers. Unlike most
military novels, D.H. Brown has a unique way to invite the reader into
the Vietnam Era during traumatic, uneasy times. The Major pours a
fresh, brewed cup of coffee from across the table as he tells the story
of his military nightmare, without decorating the violence. Most important, the story is told from the genuine characteristics of the
Major's realistic personality. The protective, senitive, loving man that
he was before becoming the Vietnam soldier, and his own battle to
keep that self-respect. I applaud the author in his first book of "The
Citizen Warrior Series." The Major was appealing, the plot was superb,
and the story was interesting from beginning to end. I recommend
"Honor Due" to teens, adults, and all readers who enjoy thrillers with
a blend of romance, and humor. This novel was as chilling, and
dramatic as "the Deer Hunter" with Robert Deniro. The Major told his
story with as much heartfelt emotion as there was in "Armageddon."
The true meaning of the word hero light up the pages in "Honor Due"
on the same scale as viewing "The Patriot" with Mel Gibson.

*****REVIEW Thoughts From Old Walls
By Author/ Artist Marianne Loyd
A Compelling, Powerful Read!
"Thoughts From Old Walls" is the debut collection of poetry, penned by author,
and artist Marianne Loyd. Each poem is skillfully crafted on controversial topics,
and sensitive issues in today's society, leaving food-for-thought behind every single
poetic passage in over eighty poems. The author covers the topics of utmost concern
not only in our country, but throughout the world. With courage, Loyd speaks out
on animal abuse, religion, and modern politics. Each topic is carefully painted with
bright colors, describing the horrifying aftermath in the consequences of brutality,
resulting from final decisions that were made in doubt, and were indeed questionable.
Every poem is powerful, thought-provoking, and heart-wrenching within the
pages of this eclectic Masterpiece. The reader is drawn to the pages like a magnet,
while filled with mixed-emotions, and heartfelt feelings that are known to humanity,
then left toponder on two essential questions. Who's to blame, and why? "Halls Of
Hell" is disturbing to the mind, and touching to the soul. This poem is not disturbing
in the sense of graphic, but disturbing, because it hits home. It's a prime example
of what goes on behind closed doors. The author's voice cries out, and speaks for
the helpless animals who are neglected, abused, and used in experiments. Loyd
leaves us once again with another crucial question that demands an answer.
Where's the justice? Do these innocent creatures labeled "Man's best friend" have
rights as we do? In a nation where we strive for freedom, and preach mercy, why
does suffering, and murder exist? The words of Marianne Loyd as she speaks for
the helpless victims in silence are moving, and are as sincere as the words from
Whoopi Goldberg in the movie "Ghost" as Whoopi speaks for Patrick Swayze,
translating the meaning of unconditional love to Demi Moore. "They will be
moving on when the sun goes down, and a silent prayer of coming home...hush
the wind says, dream later on." A verse from the passage "Army Heroes" which
comments on decisions made in question once again, and the horrific consequences
that result, such as another life lost. "These Walls" dictate hidden memories that we
all can relate to in a lifetime. "If I Were" is a poem that defines hope, and comfort.
I would recommend this book to teens, adults, and poetry lovers. Marianne Loyd's
expertise in observing nature, and the world in which we live in is breathtaking.
The reader is taken through a poetic journey of hope, dreams, and memories.
But, it doesn't end there. The author continues the journey through the road of
despair, and loss. This poetic journey on the road through life continues with hope,
and change for the better in our future. The reader simply craves for more!
